We had an epic turnout for our Dr. Seuss celebration. After reading Dr. Seuss books to their child's classroom, parents/grandparents and students came to the media center to attend a reception in honor of all the families in attendance! Thanks to our fabulous families, we had a wonderful day!

RIF Summer Reading Enrichment Activities

Students participating in the summer reading program were treated to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, or Math) related presentations to set the stage for their content-related reading experiences. The Children's Dance Foundation's Math in Motion, demonstrated complex math concepts though dance movements and props, and Mr. Bond, The Science Guy, used dry ice, explosions, and chemical reactions to explain natural science in his Spectacular Science Show. Learning is fun at Abrams!

Abrams students in the 2nd and 3rd grades selected 7 multicultural books during two distributions in the Spring and Summer for summer reading. Thanks to the RIF Summer Reading Program our students' reading was strengthened, and they were able to travel the world; learning about lots of new places, and things during the summer break.
