Students, parents, teachers, and community leaders participated in the National Walk and Bike to School Day on today. This event, which began in 1997, promotes and encourages communities to walk (or bike) to school one day in the month of October. Schools all over the nation participate in this event.
Students walked from Bessemer #1 International Ministries C.O.G.I.C. to Abrams.
We would like to thank Mayor Kenneth Gulley, Councilman Chester Porter, Bessemer Fire & Police Departments as well as our parents for coming out and supporting this event!
